Following the encouraging experiences we had when developing our PM-motor control library we decided some time ago to also develop our own three phase grid inverter control software library. The library, which is written in floating point C, is now getting close to completion in the sense that the core parts (phase locked loop, current reference generation, and current current control for both positive and negative sequence) are there and have been properly tested on a converter control board in our HIL-lab. The core has been designed to (on top of the basic functions) handle different fault scenarios in the grid voltage in a robust and elegant way.
Continuing from there we are currently working on enlarging our base of automated tests for the library. These tests are developed using our already existing HIL-test framework to guarantee the quality of our work and to facilitate future maintenance.
