Me (Urban) and Mikael participated this year in the conference EPE 2025 (EPE = European Power Electronics) which took place in Paris, France from the 31st of March to the 4th of April.
As a part of the conference we attended the tutorial ”EV Charging Technologies: Power Electronics and Quality”. In the tutorial we learned, among other things, that as the chargers are moving towards ”Vehicle to Grid” the bi-directional converters Dual Active Bridge (DAB) and the three phase line side converters are the crucial components. This feels good since we are experienced in working with the control of both these converter types.
A general observation at the conference was that there were many papers related to DAB and the use of it in DC-networks.
A very interesting keynote, giving us a deep dive into the power electronics development in the for us unfamiliar aerospace industry, was also given by Safran.
All in all, a very pleasant, educational and interesting conference. //Urban
